The messenger for exchanging messages, files, audio, and video calls is popular not only in Russia but also far beyond its borders. Thus, the number of active users during 2024 may exceed 1 billion! This was reported by Pavel Durov, the creator of the messenger, in an interview with American journalist Tucker Carlson.

Therefore, it's not surprising that the messenger is constantly changing, offering users more and more new opportunities. One such opportunity is Telegram for business. A business account is suitable for any business: IT companies, beauty salons, SMM agencies, and industrial enterprises. A business account helps solve important tasks: communication with colleagues and customers, business promotion, and business process automation. You don't need to use other tools, for example, bots. Everything is already available in Telegram for business.

Telegram for business is currently included in the subscription Telegram Premium, which costs 299 rubles per month or 1990 rubles per year. Earlier, we already explained the advantages of Telegram Premium and how to subscribe.

Features of Telegram for business

Thanks to a business account, interacting with subscribers becomes much easier. With flexible settings, you can automate sending welcome messages and quick replies, notifications of your absence, add posts, and connect chat bots. For all these actions, you only need Telegram for business.

Working Hours and Address

In the profile, you can specify working hours, time zone, and company address. If desired, you can also mark the location on the map. This way, your clients will find it easier to locate you, and they will always see if the company is operating now or if the working day has already ended.

To specify working hours, click on the corresponding button, select the day of the week, and mark the beginning and end of the working day. Then save the changes.

Welcome Messages

Add a welcome message that will automatically be sent to each user who messages you for the first time. This can be simple greetings or a message containing important information. For example, something about your company or answers to frequently asked questions.

Specify in the settings how many days should pass since the user's last activity, after which they will receive another welcome message. Telegram offers the choice of 7, 14, 21, and 28 days of inactivity.

New Chat View

Design a new chat: write a title, add a message and a sticker. It can be any: one added from any sticker set or one you created, in corporate style.

Quick Replies

Prepare quick replies in advance, and clients will receive what they're interested in with a single screen touch. For example, a class schedule or a menu. Quick replies support media files, emojis, and formatting.

A panel with a list of quick replies will appear if you enter the symbol /.

Tags for Chats

You can add colored tags to chats with the names of folders where the user is located. Thus, you can quickly understand why a client is contacting you, at what stage their order is, or how quickly you need to respond.

Chat Links

Create a chat link and place it on any platform: in your profile, in a QR code on a restaurant menu, on a personal social media page, or another messenger. In general, wherever you need it. Each link will have a click counter available, and you will know exactly how effective it is.

Not on Site

Set up sending an automatic message indicating that you are not on the site. Such messages are especially relevant during non-working hours, weekends, or vacations. As soon as a client writes you a message, they will receive a reply. It will indicate the time when you will be online and able to answer all questions. To do this, press the "Not on Site" button and toggle the "Send 'Not on Site'" switch. After that, write the text in the message window and send it. Now, every time you are not on the site, your subscribers will receive a notification about it.

Note: in Telegram for business, you can set up automatic replies such that messages intended for clients are not sent to relatives or colleagues. Simply exclude them from the recipient list.

Chat Bots

Another feature of Telegram for business is connecting a bot to the account. It will automatically process incoming messages and respond to them.

To do this, you need to specify a link to the bot in Telegram, mark the chats that will be available to it, and add exceptions if necessary. You can also allow the bot to respond only to messages in new chats.

How to connect a business account

To create a business account, you must be subscribed to Telegram Premium. A business account can only be created on the basis of the main (personal) account. Therefore, it is best to have another, separate account that will be used only for work.

Next, you need to go into profile settings, then press the "Telegram for business" button, and by pressing the corresponding buttons, set up the address and working hours, add quick replies and greetings, create posts with photos and videos of your products or services, add chat bots and chat links.

We also note that Telegram Premium users do not see ads. However, to view your ads created on the messenger's advertising platform, you can enable them.
