The need to delete an Instagram* account may arise for various reasons: perhaps the account is no longer needed by its owner, or you have decided to completely abstain from social media, or the account was created during adolescence and is now outdated. Or maybe the account owner has passed away, and their relatives would want to erase their digital footprint as much as possible.

Whatever the reason, one thing is important: you need to delete your Instagram* account. By the way, you can delete the account immediately and permanently, or temporarily. We will guide you on how to do this.

  • In the left menu, select "Account Management," and then "Delete Account." A detailed instruction will open, which must be followed;
  • Choose one of the reasons for deleting the account, confirm the decision by entering your password

So, if you plan to resume activity on social networks in the future or just want to take a break from Instagram*, do not delete the account permanently but delete it temporarily. At the same time, your profile will remain hidden, as will photos, stories, comments, and likes. You can make the profile active again simply by logging into the profile.
