How to Get Feedback from Group Subscribers on VKontakte? The best way to do this is to conduct a survey. But not with street interviewers or cold calls, but by placing a survey form on the account page. We explain how and why this is done

Why a Survey is Needed on VKontakte

With surveys, you can not only get feedback but also determine the strategy for managing the group. Thanks to surveys, you can find out which topics are most interesting to subscribers and improve content. Surveys allow you to learn the audience's opinions on various issues – for example, what prizes they would like to receive during contests or what events they find most interesting.

Surveys encourage group members to be more active: share opinions, discuss important issues, and debate. In addition, regular surveys attract the attention of new participants and, consequently, increase coverage.

Types of Surveys

All surveys on VKontakte are divided into public and anonymous.

Public surveys are those where all participants in the voting and the chosen answers are visible.

In anonymous surveys, participant information is hidden. By the way, many users prefer to remain anonymous when voting.

How to Create a Survey on VKontakte

To create a survey on VKontakte, you need to perform a few simple actions.

But first, you need to determine the purpose: why you are conducting the survey and how you plan to use its results in the future.

Step 1

Log in to the community and in the "What's new?" line, write the text of a new post.

Step 2

On the bottom tool panel, select "More," then in the dropdown menu select "Survey."

Step 3

In the window that opens, fill in the fields. Add the survey topic. Ask the question clearly and to the point. The simpler the construction, the better.

Then add answer options – no more than 10. Note: answer options need to be phrased as potential participants would phrase them.

Now you need to set up the survey by choosing the following parameters:

  • open or closed voting;
  • is there an option to change the answer if the user has already voted;
  • how many answer options each user can choose;
  • set a voting time limit if needed.

Step 4

Specify the date and time to start voting. It can be either the current time or any other time that is convenient for you. Here you can also set the theme, which will make it easier to find the voting post later.

Step 5

Click on the "Publish" button. Now your subscribers can not only choose the answer options but also share the voting post on their page.

How to Post a VKontakte Poll on Your Website

You can post the survey published in your VKontakte account on your website. To do this, go to the community, click on the three dots in the top right corner of the published survey. After that, you will receive the code that needs to be copied and pasted into your site's code in the

tag. ## Survey Results

The results of the survey can be seen not only by the survey author but also by all voting users. As soon as a subscriber chooses an option, they will be able to see how many others have voted for each answer option and how many users have voted in total. If the survey was public, subscribers will also have access to the list of users who chose each answer option.

The survey author has access to detailed statistics regardless of whether the survey was open or anonymous.

How Businesses Can Use Data

Usually, posts with surveys have high reach. Thus, the survey results are often relevant and can help solve business tasks. By the way, these tasks can be varied. Let's list the most popular ones.

  • Increase Audience Engagement

While interacting on social networks, people like to share opinions, compare their opinions with those of others, and prove their point. Survey posts can be made promotional – with a high probability, users will not pass by, but will participate in the survey.

  • Study the Audience

Surveys help create a portrait of existing and potential clients. And also determine their pains and expectations.

  • Feedback from Customers

Customers usually enjoy sharing opinions about a new or already familiar product, brand logo, company operations, and so on. If the survey is made anonymous, its results will be as objective as possible.

  • Segmentation of Community Members

Based on the answer options, you can later set up targeted advertising or immediately offer a product purchase.

In conclusion, surveys are an effective tool to make content more interesting, increase subscriber loyalty, expand coverage, and solve many other tasks. Use it, and you'll be convinced of its value.
