Our first full-fledged integration is ready. And it is integration with Yandex Disk!
Connecting Yandex Disk will organize shared access to files through Postmypost and the ability to add files from the Disk to a post without downloading them to your PC first. And this is just the beginning!
Modules and integrations
To start — a few words about "modules and integrations." A couple of months ago, we wrote about adding a new section in the settings called "Modules and Integrations." It is needed to expand the standard features of the service. Thus, when a specific module is connected, new features, sections, buttons, etc., appear in the service interface.
When you connect Yandex Disk, a corresponding new item will appear in the service's left menu — "Yandex Disk." Everyone with access will be able to go to the section and download uploaded files. It is important to note that when connecting Yandex Disk, you select which folder to link to Postmypost.
Yandex Disk — for quickly adding files to a post
Many teams use Yandex Disk for file sharing. After connecting the integration, a "Yandex Disk" icon will appear in the post editor. Clicking on it opens a window. You can select files there and, by clicking a button, immediately attach them to a post. So now there is no need to download files from the Disk to your PC, as it's simpler and more convenient to attach them directly from the Disk to a post.
When connecting Yandex Disk, you will see an authorization window on Yandex. It will offer to give permission to connect the Postmypost application to Yandex Disk.
Shared access to files
We have also anticipated another option: granting read access to files from Yandex Disk to all colleagues associated with the project.
After you connect the Disk, you can select the degree of access for each team member for reading or editing. Thus, some team members will have full access, while others will not.
We invite you to test it and wish you a good day!
